The Community Safety and Intelligence Service is based in Havering Councils Neighbourhoods Directorate. The Service leads on the development and implementation of the Havering Community Safety partnerships Community Safety Plan and strategic responsibilities in tackling crime and disorder.

Community Safety Officer

Grade 7- £34794-£38700pa

There  are three Community Safety officer posts within the Community Safety and Intelligence Service , and we are now recruiting to a vacant post.

The three officers are responsible for the delivery of the Councils strategic response to Serious Group Violence and Knife Crime, Violence Against Women and Girls and tackling anti Social Behaviour.

The Current vacancy sits primarily  within the area of Anti Social Behaviour

Experience of working in the Community Safety field or an associated area

Experience of working in multi-agency partnerships and with external agencies e.g. the police

Experience of undertaking projects or implementing new initiatives

Experience of strategy and policy development and implementation

Experience and a thorough understanding of enforcement or prevention activities

Experience of working with the public on sensitive issues

Experience of managing and prioritising an extensive and diverse workload with the minimum of supervision.
