Adoption Support Fund Coordinator
Grade 5- £27978-£31044pa 6 Month Secondment/Fixed Term
This is an exciting opportunity within the Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) within London, based in a Local Authority bordering South East Local Authority areas.
Successful applicants will be employed within the London Borough of Havering
Adopt London East will work as part of a group of 4 ‘Adopt London’ Regional Adoption Agencies. This will provide an opportunity to collaborate across all of London making a real difference to the lives of children at both a local and national level.
The vision is to achieve excellent outcomes for children and adults affected by adoption and to ensure services delivered are of the highest standard.
The adoption support fund (ASF) provides funds to local authorities (LAs) and regional adoption agencies (RAAs) to pay for essential therapeutic services for eligible adoptive families. This is subject to a social work assessment.
The Adoption Support Fund Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the process including ensuring that therapy providers are compliant and agreements are in place. This requires working alongside the Adoption Support Team Manager, Social Workers and therapy providers.
The role also requires the monitoring of the Adoption Support Fund spend so that this can be reported on and provide management information.
