We are looking for qualified Environmental Health Officer or Food Safety Officer with recognised Health and safety competancy, registerd with the (CIEH) to join our team for a fixed term contract of 1 year to cover an officer on a secondment.

Havering is an East London borough on the borders of Essex  with lovely parks and shopping facilities. We have   the best of both worlds with London a short train ride away convenient for meetings and networking and the attractive Essex countryside close by.

We cover all aspects of Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing and also routinely work with internal and external partners.

We will give you all the tools you need to do a great job such as support with initial site visits and inspections, extra training where required. We also encourage you to complete all your CPD for the year and to network with other boroughs.

This role involves working primarily in the area of Food and Health/Safety and we work closely with our Covid Outbreak Control Team and Civil Protection Teams on initiatives, projects and joint working.

About You

You are a qualified registered EHORB registered Environmental Health Officer or Food Safety Officer.

You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and also to be a Team player and be willing to work with colleagues and other departments with enthusiasm and energy.
